Jan Masny (born 1975) started his practice in 1999 in Krakow in the photographic studio of Bogdan Axman.

Very quickly he become independent and in 2004 he moved to London
His main focus is in fashion photography as well as portraiture and advertising. His distinctive style has led him to work with Virgin Records,
Toni & Guy, Degrees of Freedom, Skanska, Music TV VIVA and Aftershock Plc.
His photographs have been featured in Cosmopolitan (British), Total Spec (British), Zink (American), Elle (Polish) including many others.

He has taken portraits of numerous celebrities including Jamelia, Gosia Bela, Simon Webbe, Asher D and Lisa Maffia.
His photographs are simple and minimal with the aim to specifically emphasize their content. He is fascinated by polarities and contrasts of meaning,
and the ability to extract from the subject often unexpected aspects which gives a freshness and depth to his work.
